Poker Dictionary
Poker is a beloved game that has a following of countless of energized participants around the planet. The game is composed of gamblers examining their own cards in advance of completing a wild guess as to what cards the competing players have. The various versions of poker games are Texas Holdem, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Poker, the Hi/Lo version, Five Card Stud, and Five Card Draw. There are poker websites that distribute information about the different words used in the game. These phrases are awfully baffling and can take players quite a while to be a master of. The phrase, 'deal' references the action of assigning cards to gamblers or maintaining the cards on the boards. This term pertains to the entire process from breaking the deck to dealing of the cards and until the pot has been won, therefore ending that deal.
Other well-known phrases used in the game of poker include discard, drawing dead, flop, Fourth Street, kicker, lock up, loose game, and muck.
