Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the wild west in a wonderful game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the house, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginner players do not need to fret about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, rookies can take their time and plan without needing to make frenzied selections.

It is also simpler to play for an extended time with just a tiny amount of money after all, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the house gets 7 cards face down.

One 5 card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the casino's.
