Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in a great game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that players wager with other players. By competing against the dealer, beginner players don't need to worry about other, more advanced gamblers winning their $$$$.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is given 7 cards faces showing and the casino is dealt seven cards face down.

One 5 card hand and a two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
