Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the wild west in an excellent game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the casino, unlike most other poker games that players bet against other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players do not have to be concerned about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their cash.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game play, novices should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make quick selections.

It is also simpler to play for a very long time with just a small bit of money since, to lose, each of your hands has to be under each of the dealer's hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the dealer gets seven cards face down.

One 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino's.
